Agricultural workshop
Two days ago I found out on Instagram that one of people I admire as a farmer @grow_it_green Ms. Aalia is doing a workshop in Bahrain! So I HAD to register!
And omg was it fun! I really enjoyed every bit of it and I have learned so much! It was only a period of 3 hours but it was really educational. Most of the stuff were familiar to me because I have read about them before on the internet and in books. But to have someone with experience in the field explain these kind of things make it much easier and more enjoyable to understand.
They gave away a sample of soil mix that actually had earthworms in! That is just so cool! I have always wished to get these amazing creatures in my little farm because I know how much of a difference they can make to the quality of the soil AND health of the plant. I am just really grateful for them to provide these earthworms to us.
And of course the seeds are a giveaway as well 😍 But there was a small Q&A competition where I have won the honey bottle haha! I can't wait to taste it!
As for the book, they were actually also giving them away, but I have brought my own copy of the book which I have purchased around 2 years ago from her. And I am lucky enough to have her sign it for me.
It's just really special to me because gardening have grown on me and I really like it more than a hobby. It means so much to me to be able to participate in such events.
It was an amazing experience and hopefully I would do it all over again in order to learn more. I know lots of people don't share my love for plant and think that it's a waste of time, but it is something I'm passionate about and it's an activity more than it's a hobby. To be able to help our world and environment even if it's juuuust a little, make me much happier and I feel like a better person doing so. Gardening have been helping me getting through lots of hardships and it keeps me positive and occupied. If each person planted a seed, the world would become a better place. 💚
