Life of Fatima

I've been sick since Friday and it sucks! Can't sleep, can't breathe, can't taste, and just can't be around people because I have huge headaches from every light and sound. I didn't really go to the hospital because I thought it's just a cold. But urgh.. this cold.. killed me.. I couldn't stop sneezing and coughing and my eyelid muscles became weak due to that and I couldn't open my eyes. What a pain. But gladly I got some proper medication from the pharmacy yesterday night and I'm feeling much better already. My cough is better and my insane sneezing stopped. I think I may have to take them for a couple more days to get better. On another note, the weather has been rainy lately and I am kinda scared for my plants outside because I haven't been able to go check on them due to rain and me being sick these past few days. And I have just planted some more seeds so I am not sure what had happened to them. Maybe I'll try checking on ...

Two days ago I found out on Instagram that one of people I admire as a farmer @grow_it_green Ms. Aalia is doing a workshop in Bahrain! So I HAD to register! And omg was it fun! I really enjoyed every bit of it and I have learned so much! It was only a period of 3 hours but it was really educational. Most of the stuff were familiar to me because I have read about them before on the internet and in books. But to have someone with experience in the field explain these kind of things make it much easier and more enjoyable to understand. They gave away a sample of soil mix that actually had earthworms in! That is just so cool! I have always wished to get these amazing creatures in my little farm because I know how much of a difference they can make to the quality of the soil AND health of the plant. I've been trying to do some latte art for sometime now but I just can't get it right! I tried reading books about the techniques, watched YouTube and Instagram videos, and I even practiced! Like.. A LOT! But no Fatima. You cannot do it right. So I went to the next thing! Drawing on coffee! 😂 This technique felt easier for me. I would place the milk foam where ever I want with a spoon, and I would use chocolate syrup (or strawberry) to draw and color! 😊 It's pretty easy because I can just draw whatever I want! But it's still a bit annoying because it doesn't feel like a paper and pen (of course lol) and the drawing would shift easily. I was hoping to attend a barista workshop sometime in the future, but I still cannot find a proper one. I really want to do latte art like a professional.😛

WE WON!!!! 💗💗 For the first time EVER we get to win the Arabian Gulf Cup in football! The match was just legendary and we deserved every bit of it! The team showed ALL who doubted or made fun of Bahrain. They didn't believe we can do it BUT WE DID!! Congratulations to our country, team, people, and family. 💖  

I love plants. Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved them. I couldn't step on grass thinking it was a living being and it would hurt if I'd step on it. I find it fun to gather different types of plants 😆I have more than 10 indoor plants and more than 50 outdoor. I wouldn't mind it if anyone would give me  a plant as a gift haha Maybe I will dedicate a post for my outdoor plants in the near future. I just need to wait for some seeds to grow and for me to clean up the place outside.  I grow my veggies out in the balcony in pots, and earlier in the evening my awesome husband had opened the metal fence between our apartment's balcony and my sister-in-law's. Now it's just one big balcony and I can use the extra space for my potatoes!

Recently on Netflix, Avatar: The Last Airbender was added. We had a lot of fun watching it and we got so hooked ! It really is one of the best animations we have seen (not talking about Japanese anime here). The world, the characters, and the whole vibe of the show is just amazing! So the minute we finish the series, what happens? Sudden emptiness because the sequel which is The Legend of Korra is not available on Netflix. 😐 We tried watching it online but we couldn't find a site with good video quality so we had to  download it 😛 We had only finished season 1 just now and it's just as amazing! I am not going to talk about the show because I don't like to spoil anything (or be spoiled). But I really do recommend it and I can't wait to finish the remaining seasons! I wasn't really planning to post anything today because I haven't really done anything. But today marks the first anniversary of my grandfather's passing. I always think that November isn't kind. Back in November 2012 my precious grandmother had also passed away. It was the hardest because to me she was my favorite person on earth, and I never valued a person more than I have valued her so far. She was kind, passionate, and her smile made my days bright. I never received love from anyone as much I had received love from her. Everyone said I was her favorite, and to me she was mine. She'd lived with us for years, so it will always leave a gap in my heart the same way it left a gap in the house. And in last year's November my darling grandfather had also passed. It was sudden since we had just gathered with him 2 nights before. He was the greatest, the sweetest and the heart and soul of our family house. Every Thursday without him is cruel. One of my everyday routines now is to check on my garden the minute I wake up 😂 I am always afraid that something had happened to them while I was asleep. Birds, wind, pests! They're the enemy! especially birds! 💢 Though they do not pick on my tomatoes (since they're big now) but pepper, cucumber, and even morning glory are bittern here and there. I gotta be more careful in the future since I still did not put out my net. This is my Carolina Reaper pepper 🌱 I am participating in a pepper competition in March with 5 of these. I don't really plan to win any category haha but I thinks it's fun and I could gain more experience with growing pepper. And of course..... the sky was amazing again today 💙 I just had to! I got my car back today! AT LAST! I felt so lost this past week. no where to go..... alone in the universe...... haha! So I haven't really done much today, but it just makes my day whenever I see some clouds in the sky. Isn't it just the greatest? Blue skies, white clouds, green trees, and a cool breeze of wind. I really Liked the skies today 💗 My phone may not be the best at taking pictures (poor old phone) but I think it is still able to capture a decent photo. Sadly though today we finished the third season of The Dragon Prince on Netflix 😢 it really is one of the BEST shows I've ever seen. All the characters are lovable and they just grow on you. I can't wait for season 4!! But again, lost again without a show to watch... 😔

It has been a long time since I have had a blog.  I don't remember the last time I made a post on my previous blog at SanrioTown website. It was actually pretty fun! This is why I have decided to start this thing again. Maybe to set my mind off things and make it somewhat like a journal or a diary.
